Clarify Your Big Idea for 2026

Ever have an idea that feels brilliant in your head… but turns to mush the second you try to explain it? You’re not alone; most great courses start out as beautifully chaotic brain swirls.

Here’s the good news: messy ideas aren’t a problem, they’re raw material. What matters is learning how to shape them into something teachable, repeatable, and clear.

The easiest way to do that is to look for patterns, not perfection. When you talk, jot notes, or brain-dump, you’ll notice your ideas naturally fall into clusters: steps, phases, categories, or themes. Those clusters are the beginnings of your framework.

Think of it like sorting a basket of laundry. At first, it’s all jumbled: socks, sweaters, towels. But once you start grouping things together, the chaos starts making sense. Your ideas work the same way.

Here’s a simple process:

Step 1: Brain-dump everything you want to teach. No editing.

Step 2: Circle anything that feels important or repeated.

Step 3: Group the circled items into 3–5 buckets (steps, pillars, or phases).

Step 4: Name each bucket with a short, clear label.

Step 5: Put the buckets in the order someone would logically move through them.

Suddenly, what felt like a mountain of thoughts becomes a tidy, teachable path.

Open a blank note and dump EVERYTHING you know about the topic you want to teach, even the “obvious” stuff. Then highlight the top 3–5 ideas that repeat or feel essential. Boom. You now have the foundation of your framework.

Your messy idea isn’t a flaw, it’s a sign you’re sitting on something meaningful. With a little sorting, you’ll uncover a clear path your students can follow. And once you see how simple creating a framework can be, you’ll never look at your ideas the same way again.
